Tim Anderson

Tim Anderson is a professional firefighter living in Fuquay-Varina, N.C. He also doubles as a C.P.T., an RKC II instructor and a Z-health Movement Coach. Now, Tim is among the very few Battling Ropes® Level II Coaches. Tim has a passion for all things fitness and loves to teach others how to move their bodies. Betsy Collie

Betsy Collie, The Queen Of Lean, has been in the fitness profession for 20 years. She received a scholarship to and attended the very prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts for Dance in Winston Salem, NC and was also chosen to attend the exclusive Governor’s School of North Carolina for Dance.  She is a personal trainer as well. Betsy is the Owner, Co-Founder, and Head Kettlebell Instructor at Rapid Results Fitness located in Durham, NC. Betsy is currently certified as a Russian Kettlebell Instructor Level 2 (RKC II), Z Health Level I Certified Trainer, and is approved by the American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA) to teach group fitness, Pilates, and personal training. In addition, she instructs at the National RKC (Russian Kettlebell Challenge) certification courses that are taught throughout the year in various states. Just recently, she was appointed by Pavel Tsatsouline along with 9 other instructors to train the Navy SEALs in Kettlebell training. She also has competed nationally in Figure Competitions in the NPC and the NPA placing 2nd most recently in the summer of 2008 at the NPC Figure Competition.

Joe Roberts

Joe Roberts is a career NCO with 18 years of active duty service in the Army. His background covers both conventional and Special Operations units. After getting a small introduction to the training and methodology of the Battling Ropes®, he completely changed his concept on physical/mental conditioning. From “practical to tactical” Joe has used the Battling Ropes® from a controlled environment here in the USA, to combat zones in order to maintain conditioning at the highest level possible despite less than ideal surroundings. He and teammates alike have used the Battling Ropes® in the USA, Horn of Africa, and even in Iraq. Recently, along with John Brookfield, Joe personally used the Battling Ropes® as a PROVEN form of rehabilitaion (injuries resulting from road side bombs/IEDs) to a form of hypoxic training combined with altitude generator systems. He has also used his personal time to attend training such as “Caveman Intructor” training, CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Nutrition Certification, CrossFit Basic Barbell Certification, Modern Army Combatives Level 1 and 2, and The Pit Kaimuki Seminar.

James Woodall

James Woodall owner of Woodall’s Fitness Studio in Clayton, North Carolina. He has been a certified personal trainer since 1991 and has owned his own personal training company since 1993. James was a traveling personal trainer in Las Vegas from 1991-2003. He graduated from UNLV in 1995 with a B.S. in Fitness and Sports Management with an emphasis in Kinesiology. Local TV news station KVBC featured James on Sunday mornings as the local fitness expert. James was certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 1991 as a personal fitness trainer and held that certification from 1991-2006. Jon Bruney

Jon Bruney is one of the few to achieve the grueling Level II Battling Ropes certified status. Jon has been on The Today Show and is listed in Ripley’s Believe It or Not. He, along with John Brookfield, recently set a new world record by pulling a semi-truck weighing over 31,000 lbs. the distance of one mile in one hour and thirty-six minutes. Thousands of people have witnessed one of Jon’s “Pressing the Limits” motivational strength events. He is the pastor of Zion Missionary Church in Fremont, Indiana. Jon is also owner of Swager Strength Equipment.
